How Coaching Helps

How can a coach help you achieve your goals? We help you develop your skills, make decisions and improve productivity through an accountability process that meeting regularly with a coach helps enforce. We can help you if you are interested in growing or selling your business, developing key employees or improving your own leadership skills, or improving sales results.

In our coaching sessions, we work with you to:

  • Ask thought-provoking, insightful questions
  • Review what's working and what's not
  • Help remove barriers to your success
  • Identify opportunities
  • Understand your needs and goals
  • Develop and refine needed skills
  • Use role-play situations to achieve maximum results
  • Expand "spheres of influence" if sales or marketing goals are part of your plan

Praxis Coaching’s services help identify the root causes for slumps in performance.  We help each individual stay on focus to achieve your tasks, milestones and desired change or results.

We conduct twice-a-month individual coaching sessions (in-person or on the telephone) following the creation of personal development plans, helping to ensure sustained growth and significant change and results.

For our coaching sessions to work, what I need from you is:

  • Complete honesty with yourself and with me. A readiness, willingness and openness to share your challenges.
  • Commitment to do what you need to do, and make the necessary changes.
  • Investment of your time. Why pay a coach if you are not going to take the time for the sessions or to do the work in between sessions?
  • The decision that settling is no longer an option. Why pay a coach if you are content with the status quo?
  • That you can afford the financial investment of hiring me to assist you.

If the organization’s culture is supportive, we may recommend group coaching or action learning sessions in addition to individual coaching sessions. Group coaching engages our clients in experimenting, reflecting and learning in groups or work teams. As the moderator in group sessions, we support participants in taking action rather than simply talking about an issue or challenge—these work best in peer groups, or where people from different departments regularly interact or depend on one another to accomplish their goals.
